Botox is for dynamic wrinkles and Dermal Filler is for static wrinkles and deficits. For example, if you have a deep groove in your forehead while resting, this is a static wrinkle, which can best be filled by a Dermal Filler.
The best result often requires more than one type of procedure rather than more of the same procedures. Occasionally, one type of procedure will need to be repeated in several sessions for the best result. This will be explained to you during your Consultation.
There are no pain-free procedures. At Bellatudo Skin Care, all equipment has been selected to minimize pain and discomfort without compromising quality. Certain laser procedures will have down time, though we will help you to minimize this with special skin treatment products and tips. Although all laser procedure will rejuvenate the skin, 60-year-old skin will not return to 20-year-old skin. This is why we recommend that you do not wait too long before seeking rejuvenation procedures. If you begin skin care rejuvenation earlier in your life, there is a better chance of maintaining your youthful skin with less invasive treatments.
Botox injection is done in the skin and in the muscle where there are many capillaries. Occasionally, these capillaries are punctured and the result is bruising. Bruises generally last only a few hours to a few days. There are OTC products to minimize bruising if you wish to use them; otherwise, icing the affected area is sufficient treatment.
Botox results typically take from hours to days to appear. Dermal filling is immediately apparent, with some fading effect after the initial swelling. Non-Ablative Laser treatment is apparent soon after the procedure is completed, usually the same day with accumulative effects with repeated treatments. Ablative Rejuvenating Laser treatment usually is apparent after the down time is completed, with continuing improvement over several months.
